Scott C. McCready, President
Scott McCready is President of CIOview Corp., the company he founded in 1997. Mr. McCready has 20 years experience in both management and technology consulting, and specializes in the areas of finance, return on investment, and business process automation. Mr. McCready has provided his expert finance and technology consulting services to both large and small organizations, as well as major systems, software and ecommerce vendors, ISVs, VARs and Wall Street analysts. Prior to founding CIOview Corp., Mr. McCready directed International Data Corporation's research and consulting in the area of electronic workplace technologies. He is the author of several landmark studies on the business impact of technology, including Lotus Notes: Agent of Change. This report detailed the experiences of more than 65 companies around the world that automated a variety of business processes with Lotus Notes.
The study provided a unique level of insight into measuring the costs and benefits of technology investments, as well as return on investment (ROI) calculations for each company. In addition, Mr. McCready conducted similar studies on e-mail, Internet, data warehousing, desktop productivity, and other technologies. Prior to International Data Corp., Mr. McCready held positions at several technology and management consulting organizations. Mr. McCready writes and speaks regularly on the topic of quantifying the business benefits of technology. His speaking engagements include appearances at COMDEX, Lotusphere, NetWorld+Interop, and AIIM, as well as numerous vendor conferences. He is widely quoted in the trade, business and general press, including the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Fortune, BusinessWeek, CIO Magazine, and others. He has appeared on ABC, CBS, and NBC television affiliates as well as National Public Radio and CNN. Mr. McCready has an undergraduate degree in Business from Edinburgh University, and holds an MBA from Rutgers Graduate School of Management. In addition, Mr. McCready has done extensive post-MBA study in the area of international finance.
Ann Palermo, PMP®, Vice President
Ann Palermo, Vice President at CIOview Corp., has over 20 years of experience in project management, software marketing, consulting and operations in the high technology industry.
Prior to joining CIOview, Ms. Palermo was Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at PassGo Technologies, where she drove the company's new branding and market positioning initiatives.
Earlier, Ms. Palermo was Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at PC DOCS, Inc., a leading developer of enterprise document management software. Under Ms. Palermo's guidance, PC DOCS solutions were extended to the Web and intranets, and PC DOCS's products advanced to the number one market position. In addition, during Ms. Palermo's tenure, the company's revenues grew organically from $14 million to $42 million, and a US public offering raised over $60 million in capital.
Prior to PC DOCS, Ms. Palermo spent six years at International Data Corporation, a leading high technology market research and consulting firm, where she held the position of Vice President of Research and Director of Consulting for Electronic Workplace Technologies. There, she co-authored the study, Lotus Notes: Agent of Change, which has become the cornerstone of software ROI research.
Ms. Palermo has been frequently quoted on business process automation, e-commerce, and document management in the trade, business and popular press, including the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, BusinessWeek, Fortune Magazine, Computerworld, InformationWeek and others. She has appeared as an expert analyst on Boston's ABC-TV affiliate, CNBC, CNN, and National Public Radio. In addition, Ms. Palermo was a featured executive in the best selling business book, Success Secrets from Silicon Valley, by Geoffrey James.
